Easter with Summit: “A New Revival”
Sunday April 1, 2018
HE IS RISEN!
Which means everything can, and should, and will be different. On a day like today, for 2000 years, the church has gathered to be reminded of just how different everything can, and will be.
For centuries all of humanity has asked deep, internal questions… what is this life all about? How am I supposed actually live? Where will I discover meaning? Law, can only go so far, business, can only be so good. Academics, can only accomplish so much and technology can’t solve every problem.
So where do we turn?
A revival isn’t something you go to, it’s something you experience. A revival isn’t something you do, it’s something that gets done in you. But how do we experience this revival? In order for there to be a revival, for something to be re-vived and brought back to life… something has to die. Today, Easter Sunday, we look back at the most significant death and revival of all time. Who is this Jesus? This carpenter who is said to be both God and man. Revolution swirled around him, but, He died. They crucified Him. But this story doesn’t end in death, give the Savior 3 days.
He is risen!
And in the resurrection, we find new life.
